Head for the heights in the Zillertal Valley
There is no place where humans feel more free than on top of a mountain.Thanks to the 11 lifts and cable cars open in summer, visitors of all ages and fitness levels to the Zillertal Valley have the chance to experience this feeling and enjoy the breathtaking views that await. Eight of these lifts and cable cars also offer a bike transport service for mountainbikers who wish to start their ride high in the Alps.
Summer and winter cable cars
It is, of course, entirely up to you how you explore the mountains. Teenagers and outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy walking up and down, while families with younger children may want to take the cable car up and walk back down. All the lifts and cable cars in the valley are state-of-the-art and transport guests quickly, safely and comfortably into the mountains.
In winter there are 14 lifts and cable cars giving access to the ski resorts in the Zillertal Valley.

The Zillertal ski resort is one of Tyrol’s top destinations for ambitious skiers and snowboarders. With 181 state-of-the-art lifts and cable cars serving 530 kilometres of slopes, there really is something for everyone. The resort is divided into four sections:
- Erste Ferienregion
- Zillertal Arena
- Mayrhofen
- Ski- & Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000
With the Zillertaler Superskipass visitors can use all the lifts and cable cars throughout the Zillertal Valley. The pass is available for between 2 and 21 days between 01.12.2018 and 22.04.2019. It includes access to the Hintertux Glacier, Austria’s only ski resort open 365 days a year.

The largest ski resort in the Zillertal Valley
The Zillertal Arena is the largest ski resort in the Zillertal Valley and extends all the way from Zell im Zillertal via Gerlos as far as Wald-Königsleiten and Krimml-Hochkrimml.
It offers 143 kilometres of pistes and 51 lifts and cable cars for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. The resort is almost 100% snowsure thanks to its slopes up to 2,500 metres above sea level. The perfect place for the perfect skiing holiday in the Zillertal Valley!
