When the days close in again and the sun gives the leaves a bright colour, the Alpine summer ends too. The animals are taken into the valley, adorned with decorations, when the summer has been good and has passed without misfortune.
The Alpine cattle drive is a special festival in the tradition of farming life. This ‘festival day' is also celebrated every year at the ZapfenHof – with Zillertal delicacies and atmospheric music. A wonderful experience for our guests and everyone taking part.
